Coverage

Open Enrollment has ended for 2023, but there are still other ways to get covered. If you have recently experienced a qualifying life event (e.g. moved, got married) or meet other criteria (e.g. household income under 150% of the federal poverty line, American Indian/Alaska Native) you may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period to enroll in Marketplace coverage now. Medicaid/FAMIS also accepts applications year round.

If you’re uninsured and need health coverage, Enroll Virginia navigators can help you through the enrollment and application process. Enroll Virginia services are totally free and completely unbiased. Contact your local navigator by calling 888-392-5132 or visiting enrollva.org/get-help.

Testing

Insured, uninsured or under-insured people in Virginia with COVID-19 symptoms can get tested through the state public health lab for free. Please contact a free clinic, federally-qualified health center (FQHC), local health department, or participating pharmacy to have the specimen collected.

For local testing information, visit the Virginia health department’s website, http://bit.ly/307WkSv.
